A Native of Oklahoma City, OK, played four years on the varsity basketball team at Douglass High School from 1979 to 1982. During her freshmen season, she made two free throws with nine seconds left in an Area Playoff game against Mustang, OK that sent the DHS Women’s Basketball Team to the state tournament for the first time in school history. She was the only freshmen in the 1979-80 season to play on all three women’s basketball teams (Freshmen, JV and Varsity). In 1982, she was one of the first recipients of the Lola T. Alexander Scholarship, awarded to the top female basketball players at Douglass High School. She received a full scholarship to play basketball at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK where she was named to the Bi-State All Conference Team in 1984. She transferred to the University of Science & Arts in Chickasha, OK where she was named to the District IX All Academic Team in 1986 and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She earned a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Phoenix in 2004. She moved to the DFW area in 1989 where she played in several competitive leagues in Dallas, Irving, Grand Prairie and Euless. In 1997, she tried out for the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA. She began coaching boys’ basketball in 2004 at the YMCA in Arlington, TX where the Bulls were undefeated in their first two seasons. In 2005, she started the Westside Bulls boys basketball team which has won several in-state and out-of-state tournaments. In 2011, she and her 10U (now Bulls Black) team were awarded the "Soar Like An Eagle" award from the city of Grand Prairie for being the first team in the City of Grand Prairie Basketball League's history to play in the TAAF Championship Game. The 10U team was the 2011 TAAF State Runner-Up.

A Native of Oklahoma City, OK, played basketball for four years (three years on varsity) at Douglass High School from 1980 to 1983. She received a full scholarship to play basketball at Langston University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management. She scored over 1,000 points and was one of the top leaders in steals. She was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at Langston in 2000. She moved to the DFW area in 1990 where she played in several competitive leagues in Dallas, Irving, Grand Prairie and Euless. She began coaching youth basketball in 2005. She has been a sports official in both high school, adult and youth league basketball since 1995. In 2015, she lead the Bulls Black team to the 16U AAU West Coast National Championship.
